Walnut Grove

Walnut Grove is a small village between the Upper Section of Tiger Leaping Gorge and the Middle Section of Tiger Leaping Gorge. A lot of Walnut trees were planted here before, that is where its name comes from. No matter starting from the Qiaotou Village or from Daju Village in Lijiang Old Town, no matter going through the gravel road or Haba footpath, the tourists would arrive here in the afternoon, enjoying a dinner and lodging for the night. You will hear the billows and legends when staying in the garden.

The night of Walnut Grove is peaceful with only the sound of billows; the two sides' Snow Mountains are submerged in the dark leaving the stars in one line. In the morning, when opening the door, the greyish-green cliff is just in front of you.
