Day 1 Chengdu - Leshan - Chengdu : Pickup and drop off

Today's Activities

7:00 - 8:00 am: Our English tourist guide will pick you up by turns at your downtown hotels (free of charge within Second Ring Road), then drive to Chengdu Panda Breeding Base;

8:30 - 11:00 am: We will have happy time with cute giant pandas in world-famous Panda Breeding Base, getting comprehensive knowledges about the giant panda and unique breeding experience.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Our bus heads for Leshan city via Chengdu-Leshan Expressway, about 2 hours' drive;

1:00 - 2:00 pm: Let us have a featured chinese lunch in an arranged restaurant of Leshan city, tasting delicious local Sichuan dishes and chengdu specialties; ( Not included in tour price.)

2:00 - 4:00 pm: These 2 hours are very essential to visit Leshan Giant Buddha scenic spot. You will climb the mountain to see each detailed part of Buddha and visit Lingyun Temple, enjoying its beautiful sceneries. (Admission fee is included.)

4:30 - 6:30 pm: Drive back to downtown Chengdu, and dismiss near Tianfu Square (kindly note that we will not send you back to your hotel), Or we will transfer you to the Leshan bus station to take the bus if you want to extend the trip to E'mei Mountain.

Packup tips:

You will find that it is a little bit late when you have lunch in Leshan at around 1:00 pm, so in case of hunger, you are suggested to bring snacks and soft drinks, such as chocolate, cookies and milk.

River cruising to visit Leshan Giant Buddha:

If you want to cruise along the river to get the whole view of Leshan Giant Buddha rather than entering the mountain, please tell us in advance, and we will refund you CNY20/USD3 for not entering the scenic spot.

The group tour only provides English-speaking local tourist guide, if you need other language guiding, perhaps consider our private tour to meet your need.

The group tour price excludes the tips for our tour guide and driver. If you are content with their considerate services and arrangements, kindly consider to express your satisfaction to them in financial way. Also you can make donation to Panda Breeding Base, we would be very grateful for your support.

Dear Nancy, it has been a most amazing experience. Not just meeting and working with the pandas, but learning about the culture and society of China. The volunteers are friendly and fun to hang out with, so evenings are pretty great. I think it's fair to say that I've had a few culture shocks, so much here is different from my home in Sweden, but I've had a great time discovering these differences. I definitely want to come back someday!
