Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu |
Upon arrive at the airport in the afternoon, be welcomed by our tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Free time to explore local life at Kuai Zhai Lane. Kuan Zhai Lane is a local-featured street with ancient alleys. You can relax in the traditional atmosphere, enjoy your time in teahouses, curio shops and snack stands and experience local folk culture. |
Day 2 Chengdu to Leshan (B, L) Transfer by car |
Drive 2 hours in the morning to Leshan, where you can see the Giant Buddha carved on the mountain. Drive to Mt. Emei in the afternoon and visit Baoguo Temple. Stay overnight at the foot of Mt. Emei. |
Leshan Giant Buddha: |
As the largest Buddha statue in the world, the Leshan Giant Buddha draws millions of tourists and Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. |
Mt. Emei: |
Mount Emei is the highest of China's four holy Buddhist mountains, its 'Golden Summit' is a sacred symbol to all Buddhist pilgrims. |
Baoguo Temple: |
At the foot of Mt. Emei, Baoguo Temple is the first sight one meets along the route up the mountain. |
Day
3 Leshan Emei (B, L) |
We will spend a whole day at Mt. Emei today. Visit the Wannian Temple first, and then walk down the Qingyin Pavilion to see the monkeys. We will drive back to Chengdu afterwards. |
Wannian Temple: |
As one of the most ancient temples on Emei Mountain, the Wannian Temple dates back to the Jin Dynasty (280-316). |

4 Chengdu (B, L) |
Today we will visit attractions in the city center. he highlight is the Giant Panda Breading Research Base to see the active and lovely pandas, much more energentic than the pandas you see in most zoos. And you will see Chengdu's historical sites, Du Fu's Thatched Roof Cottage and Wenshu Temple. Free time to explore Jinli Old Street for local tea house, night life, art crafts and snacks. |

Giant Panda featured Chengdu Giant Panda Center in southwest China as one of the best in the world. |
Du Fu's Thatched Roof Cottage: |
Du Fu's Thatched Roof Cottage is regarded as a sacred site of Chinese literature. It is the former residence of the celebrated Tang dynasty poet Du Fu who wrote some of his masterpieces there. |
Wenshu Temple: |
Wenshu Temple is arguably the most beautiful and well preserved temple in Chengdu. Worshippers light candles and incense, constantly filling the temple with a thick, perfumed smoke. |
Jinli Old Street: |
Jinli Street is an ancient street for visitors to relax in the traditional atmosphere, enjoy the delicious Sichuan food and snacks and learn the local remarkable folk culture. |

5 Depart Chengdu (B) |
You will leave Chengdu today for your next destination. |
