1 Arrive in Beijing |
Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, our local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

Day 2 Beijing (B,L,D) |
Today you will first visit the historic Tiananmen Square, and then the magnificent Forbidden City. In the afternoon, you will marvel at Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven and have Beijing Roast Duck for dinner. |

As a symbol of the nation, this world's largest city square is home to various historical sites and known for the daily ritualistic flag raising ceremony. |
Forbidden City: |
One of the world's most beautiful architectural complexes, served as China's imperial palace for almost five centuries; you will be overwhelmed by its massive scale and majestic design. |
Temple of Heaven: |
This temple complex was ever a place for the emperor to worship heaven; an architectural wonder featuring the triple-roofed Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest. |
Beijing Roast Duck: |
Most famous and delicious dish in Beijing with a very long history, prized for its tempting color, crispy skin, tender meat and gorgeous apperance; most visitors will never forget to have a try. |

3 Beijing (B,L) |
Today you will visit the majestic Great Wall--Badaling section, the Ming Tombs--Changling, Sacred Way, Bird's Nest and Water Cube. |
Badaling Great Wall: |
The best-preserved and most imposing section of the Great wall; approximately 3,741m long and of great strategic importance in ancient times. |
Ming Tombs (Changling): |
The mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Di, the chief and the most magnificent one of the 13 Ming tombs, which will give you a glimpse into the power and grandeur of China's Ming Dynasty's Emperors. .

Sacred Way: |
The most famous site at the Ming imperial tombs, being the main road leading into the tomb complexes, featuring the huge Memorial Stone Archway, the Stele Pavilion, the Stone Creatures and the Dragon and Phoenix Gate. |
Olympic Stadium
(Bird's Nest): |
The nest-shaped elliptic steel structure is hailed as "an icon of the Beijing 2008 Olympics" and has become a recognized landmark worldwide. |
National Aquatics Center (Water Cube): |
The outlook being a semi-transparent "cube", with "bubbles" spread out all over its surface; believed as the fastest Olympic pool in the world, swimmers set 25 new world records here during the 2008 Olympics. |
Day
4 Beijing (B,L) |
After breakfast, you will take a tour through Hutongs by rickshaw. Lunch will be served in one local family and you can learn how to make dumplings (Jiaozi) with the family members. In the afternoon, visit Yonghegong Lama Temple and Beihai Park where you will enjoy a luxurious imperial dinner (subject to separate quotation). |

Leaving the bustling city streets, stepping into the maze-like hutongs and deep courtyards, you'll get a true taste of Beijinger's life and seem to travel back in time. |
Yonghegong Lama Temple: |
The largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China and since 1744, this elegant temple has been the national center of Lama Administration. |
Beihai Park: |
Served as the Imperial playground over 800 years ago, the park is largely lake and offers a relaxing opportunity to amble about, rent a rowing boat, or admire calligraphers scribbling Chinese characters on paving slabs. |

5 Beijing (B,L) |
In the morning, our local guide will help you transfer to the railway station for your train to Chengde (245km, about 4hours). Upon arrival at Chengde, you will be met and escorted to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will be taken to the Imperial Summer Villa for a visit.

The largest imperial summer retreat complex in China, which was used to be a summer resort and hunting ground for emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). |
Day 6 Beijing (B,L) |
Enjoy a tour to Puning Temple and Putuo Zongcheng Temple before your train back to Beijing. Our local guide in Beijing will meet you at railway station and escort you to the hotel. |
Puning Temple: |
The temple itself is modeled on a Tibetan temple and features a 22-meters-high Buddha, Avalokitesvara, with 42 arms and an eye on each palm. |
Putuo Zongcheng Temple: |
A replica of Lhasa's Potala Palace, set against a backdrop of piney hills just to the north of the Imperial Summer Villa Park. |
Day
7 Depart Beijing (B,L) |
You will have a trip to the exquisite Summer Palace, Beijing Zoo and Xiushui Street. After that, you will be escorted to the airport for your next destination.
