Today's Activities | The Terracotta Warriors is without doubt a great hit on your Xi'an visit list. Three unearthed pits plus the Bronze Chariot and Horse Museum, a great world wonder for you to discover! After lunch, set forth to the Banpo Museum, a typical Neolithic matriarchal community of the Yangshao Culture dating back to about 6,000 years ago. The evening is also well prepared for you – a delicious Chinese Dumpling Banquet while watching a gorgeous show presenting the prosperous Tang Dynasty of ancient China. Enjoy your night! |

Today's Activities | Start your morning with a bird's eye view of Xi'an city from the Ancient City Wall. The rampart is 12m high, 15m wide in the upper part, which allows you to stroll freely and leisurely on top. You can even hire a bike to ride along the City Wall as an optional but great experience (not included in our package).
Then move to the city center to visit the central landmark – Bell Tower, which dates back to 1384 A.D. and is a representative Ming Dynasty architecture with gorgeous building style. Free Imitated Chime Bells Performances are available for several times every day. If you are lucky enough to catch one, enjoy the pleasant ancient tune! Next destination is the Muslim Quarter , where the local Muslim gather and offers a wide range of exotic souvenirs for sale. The spiritual center of this area is the Great Mosque, where you will find an excellent blend of Chinese architecture and Muslim style. Another highlight of the Muslim Quarter is the Gao's Courtyard, where a lovely local drama Shadow Puppet Show is prepared for you to learn the local culture. |

Shaanxi History Museum, housing a marvelous collection of over 300,000 items from the Bronze Age to the modern time, is just like a treasure stove for you to discover. Later take a stroll to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist temple built in 652 A.D. You can feast your eyes with the architectural elegance of the Buddhist buildings, as well as discover the legends of Hierarch Xuanzang and his 16-year pilgrimage to India for the Buddhist culture. |

Xi'an features distinctive cuisines of China Northwest, such as various-shaped Chinese dumplings and other wheaten food. Muslim Quarter gathers lots of delicious local food like Rou Jia Mo and shish kebabs, etc..
(1) Here we highly recommend Chinese Dumpling Dinner, which also named "Jiaozi", typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. As a must-try for visitors, it serves with Tang dynasty show. And it belongs to an [add on] item in the tour.
(2) Friendship Restaurant at Terracotta Museum, is famous for the noodle-stretching performance. You can also enjoy the delicious local cuisine here, such as steamed cauliflower, pork and small bamboo shoots, bean curd with celery, etc.
(3) One of the best places to sample the dumpling is Defachang Restaurant. Here you can experience Xian's famous "Dumpling Banquet" where you get to feast on many different types of dumplings that come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and flavors. For example there are tiny pearl dumplings, dumplings made from black rice and fruit-filled dumplings.
(4) Muslim quarter is a fascinating area where you can taste many authentic Islamic snacks, like beef or mutton Rou Jia Mo (Chinese Hamburger), northwestern style noodles, Yangrou Paomo and many other attractive snacks that will not make you disappointed. The restaurants and eateries here are serving their food in budget prices.
