Today's Activities | The first scenic sopt of this tour is the fantastic Terracotta Warriors. Thousands of life sizes warriors stand in line, just like waiting for your inspection, plus Bronze Chariot and Horse Museum. It would be much more astonishing than you just see them on TV or pictures. Then move to the Banpo Museum, the first prehistoric excavation site museum in China. Catching a glimpse of the long ago folk culture and social life of the primitive Banpo people via the showpieces such as the tools, major inventions and art items of that time. Tonight is specially arranged for you – Tang Dynasty Show plus a tasty Chinese Dumpling Dinner! Just indulge your eyes and tongue! This marvelous show vividly reflects the ancient royal singing and dancing of the Tang Dynasty about 1400 years ago. |

Today's Activities | After breakfast, you will set forth to the Shaanxi History Museum, a huge modern museum in Chinese Tang Dynasty architectural style, with a marvelous collection of over 300,000 items. Meander among this treasure stove, and read carefully the history of Xi'an, and of China.
Follow up is visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist temple built in 652 A.D. You will feast your eyes with the architectural elegance of the Buddhist buildings, sutras and figurines of the Buddha which were brought to China from India by Hierarch Xuangzhang, mostly known for his 16-year pilgrimage to India for the Buddhist culture. Also you will delight in strolling at the Ancient City Wall leisurely, the entire city view presented right in front of you. This Wall is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems in the world today, composed of the moat, hanging bridges, battlements, watchtowers, tunnels and parapet. Then you will head for the Great Mosque, which combines Chinese elements with mosque in terms of architectural features. Afterwards, it's just a short walk to the Muslim Quarter, the main gathering place for the local Muslim community, exotic shops, snacks and souvenirs. In addition, you can enjoy the interesting Chinese folk art at Gao's Courtyard - the Puppet Show. |

Today's Activities | Today you will tour the Famen Temple, with a history of over 1700 years, well-known for its storing the veritable Finger Bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha. It's one of the true Buddhist relics in the world that have literature and tablet inscription records, top relic of the Buddhist world. Afterwards, you will visit the Qianling Mausoleum, the joint tomb of the the Tang Dynasty Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian, who was the only one Empress in Chinese history. The design of the tomb site replicates the city of Chang'an. The southern approach is set between two smaller hills and the way to the Emperor's tomb is lined with stone animals as well as human figures. What's more, you will feast eyes with many valuable murals, pottery and wodden figurines, jade ariticles,etc. in the Tomb of Princess Yongtai. Princess Yongtai was the granddaughter of Gaozong and Wu Zetian. |

Today's Activities | After breakfast, you will explore the Hanyangling Museum, the joint tomb of Emperor Jing of Chinese Western Han Dynasty and his queen. It's a must-see in Xi'an. This royal tomb is well constructed and the pits are covered over with glass which you can walk on, allowing you to look straight down into the pits. Later of the day, our tour guide will send you to the airport / train station for your next destination. Wish you have a good memory back home! |

Xi'an features distinctive cuisines of China Northwest, such as various-shaped Chinese dumplings and other wheaten food. Muslim Quarter gathers lots of delicious local food like Rou Jia Mo and shish kebabs, etc..
(1) Here we highly recommend Chinese Dumpling Dinner, which also named "Jiaozi", typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. As a must-try for visitors, it serves with Tang dynasty show. And it belongs to an [add on] item in the tour.
(2) Friendship Restaurant at Terracotta Museum, is famous for the noodle-stretching performance. You can also enjoy the delicious local cuisine here, such as steamed cauliflower, pork and small bamboo shoots, bean curd with celery, etc.
(3) One of the best places to sample the dumpling is Defachang Restaurant. Here you can experience Xian's famous "Dumpling Banquet" where you get to feast on many different types of dumplings that come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and flavors. For example there are tiny pearl dumplings, dumplings made from black rice and fruit-filled dumplings.
(4) Muslim quarter is a fascinating area where you can taste many authentic Islamic snacks, like beef or mutton Rou Jia Mo (Chinese Hamburger), northwestern style noodles, Yangrou Paomo and many other attractive snacks that will not make you disappointed. The restaurants and eateries here are serving their food in budget prices.
