Day 1 Beijing Great Wall: Pick-up at your hotel - Jinshanling - west section of Simatai - back to your hotel ( Lunch )

Today's Activities

You will be picked up at your hotel at 8:00am and take a 3-hour drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. Start to hike around 11:00am from Jinshanling Great Wall to the west section of Simatai(about 4-5 hours), and you'll be rewarded with awesome spectacular. A later Chinese lunch at a local restaurant is ready for you. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel.

Jinshanling to Simatai section of the Great Wall is in a more natural state than other sections close to Beijing. It is extremely photogenic, with over 15 watch-towers, and steep gradients that offer constantly changing perspectives and wide, open views. Also watchtowers are in fascinating variety. Some have two storeys, others three. Some have flat roofs, others rounded and others again are pitched with upturned eaves. This section of the wall is wild, ruined, preserved and original. What's more, very few other visitors make it as if you had the place to yourself.
