Mr.Perkins Kendrick From China-P.R.C. excellent hotel2009/7/29 0:00:00 Rating Legend : 5 Staff & Service: 4 Room Quality: 5 Location: 4 Cleanliness: 5 Bed Comfort: 4 Value for Money: 3 Room was tastefully decorated - the rooms were newly renovated in 2006 or 2007 - still well maintained. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. The usual set-up of a standard hotel room. Only complaint - the availability of TV channels - mostly from Stations in China, with NHK, HBO, Discovery etc. Selections were too few for a foreign guest. Concierge service was very good - they were always ready to serve .. way before I reach the counter! They were very helpful when I need information of local tourist spots.In conclusion, I did not expect such good service or well maintained facilities from a hotel in China but what I received from DongFang hotel was way better than other 4 to 5 star hotels from other developed countries.

The hotel is huge, as the it was all booked I have been upgraded to a room with kitchen an a separate living room. Everything was cleaned daily as supposed. The international restaurants are a little bit overpriced, but I ate there almost the whole week.Location is great, you have the underground station 100 mts and from there you can go directly to the fair grounds.Very nice-cheap shops outside the hotel.
