Today's Activities | Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, and set out for the Tian'anmen Square, heart of the city and the nation. Then move to the Forbidden City to explore the royal culture. Stylish red-wall and golden-roof lead you through the life of the royal family as well as their anecdotes. A good number of antiques are also on display. In the afternoon, you will tour the Summer Palace, the royal garden once served as the summer getaway, where you can appreciate the Chinese featured architectures as well as splendid landscape. Grand and mysterious, these ancient army troops standing in lines welcome you with bustling silence, appealing you to read carefully their over 2200-year's historical meanings. In the afternoon you will take an exploration at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist temple dating back to 652 A.D. You can feast your eyes with the architectural elegance of the Buddhist buildings, as well as discover the legends of Hierarch Xuanzang and his 16-year pilgrimage to India for the Buddhist Culture, which has inspired the great Chinese novel - Journey to the West. Ancient articles far from the prehistorical times to modern times are all well preserved and clearly labeled here. Strolling leisurely on the top of the Ancient City Wall, you can easily catch an overview of the old city center. Today's Activities | You will never want to miss the Li River Cruise. Head for Zhujiang Dock after breakfast, and start at around 09:30am. The cruise ride takes about 4 hours, with picturesque natural landscapes all around you and a tasty local lunch prepared onboard. As the cruise draws to the end, you will reach Yangshuo County, which is best known for its pastoral sceneries and the backpackers' paradise West Street. Xi'an features distinctive cuisines of China Northwest, such as various-shapes chinese dumplings and other wheaten food. At Muslim Quarter, where gathers lots of delicious local food, like Rou Jia Mo and shish kebabs, etc.
(1) Here we highly recommend Chinese Dumpling Dinner, which also named Jiaozi, typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. As a must-try for visitors, it serves with Tang dynasty show. And it belongs to an [add on] item in the tour.
(2) Rou Jia Mo, also called Chinese Hamburger, is very similar to the Western hamburger essentially, but with different cooking method.

Guilin's tasty dishes are also well-known except its charming landscapes.
